SPECIAL RESPONSE TEAM (SRT)

 

 

 

The Bosque County Sheriff's Office has a Special Response Team (SRT).  The SRT is comprised of Peace Officers  that have been through extensive and rigorous training with highly qualified professionals that train in dangerous missions and provide effective tactical support.  Most larger departments refer to this as "SWAT".  The Sheriff's Office SRT is responsible for a multitude of special operations, including:

 

• Hostage Rescue

• Hazardous Arrest Warrants

• Search Warrants

• Active Shooter Situations

• Barricaded Armed Persons

• Acts of Terrorism

 

Essentially, the SRT is used for certain situations which Patrol cannot effectively and/or safely accomplish alone.
