Off-duty Bosque County Sheriff’s Office deputies may be available to provide law enforcement and security services for approved private events, businesses, traffic-control assignments, and other activities.

     All assignments are subject to Sheriff’s Office approval, applicable policies, and deputy availability. All deputies are serving as an independent contractor for outside events.

     Requests must be submitted in advance and should include the date, time, location, nature of the event, expected attendance, and any specific security concerns.

     Applicable hourly rates, minimum-hour requirements, holiday rates, and payment procedures are listed below.

Off-Duty Deputy Rates Per Hour:

• Hourly Rate $65.00 

• Holiday Rate: $85.00 (applies when 50% or more of the job occurs on one of the dates listed below or the event is held during the weekend in which the holiday precedes/proceeds).

• New Year's Eve & New Years Day

• Martin Luther King Jr. Day

• Memorial Day

• Juneteenth

• Independence Day

• Labor Day

• Halloween

• Thanksgiving Day

• Black Friday (Day after Thanksgiving)

• Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

 Minimum Hours / Cancellations:

• All assignments require a minimum of 4 paid hours. Cancelled events will forfeit 50% of funds collected to compensate the deputy(s) for the event and any missed opportunity to find other off-duty employment.

Scheduling:

All jobs require payment, in full, 24 hours prior to the event's start time.
